Capital City Skate is the first-ever multi-day inline skating event hosted by SK8 ATX, bringing skaters from across Texas and beyond to roll through Austin together โ in the shadow of the Texas Capitol.
Expect a long weekend of group skates, social events, and Austin's signature live music and food scene. Whether you're a seasoned distance skater or you're coming for the community, there will be something for you.

When: Arrive 6:00 pm, roll out 7:00 pm, back by ~9:00 pm

Friday runs on its own schedule. Metz is the meet-up spot, the cookout, and the Underground Disco (6:00-10:00 pm) all in one. Come at 6 and enjoy some good music, company, and food at the cookout and the Disco before we keep the vibes going on our rock and roll route!
Rock & roll themed costumes and t-shirts are encouraged but not required.
The Underground Disco: a pop-up skater / all-wheels-welcome rolling dance party. Think skating at your favorite rink, but outdoors and with amazing live DJs. Whether you're skating, dancing, or just soaking in the music and the sunset, everyone is welcome. All ages. All wheels. One unforgettable night.
Friday cookout: we're grilling at Metz starting at 6:00 pm. SK8 ATX is covering the basics - hot dogs (all beef), hamburgers, buns, water, and condiments. Want to add to it? Bring chips, desserts, or your own drinks (BYOB).

Heads up on admission: Barton Springs Pool charges a fee to enter the pool area โ 2026 rates are $5 for adult residents / $9 for non-residents (lower rates for kids, juniors, and seniors). Entering the pool is completely optional โ Zilker Park surrounds the pool and is free to hang out in, so you're welcome to chill outside on the grass and wait for the group.
